In case you're wondering, fractal images are simply geometric figures with some special properties that other geometric figures like circles and squares don't have. They are characterized by basic patterns that are repeated at ever decreasing sizes.
Apophysis is a freeware program and allows you to quickly and easily produce some truly unique and artistic images and animations. While the program aids in the computation and placement of the image, the user is the one who controls image quality, form, and color placement.
